Purchasing shares is a straightforward process that typically takes about 20 minutes and consists of several steps:
1. Create an account on Equito.co
- Sign up or Log in to invest.equito.co with the same email address that you registered at Blocktrade - you will receive a login link to your email once you enter it.
- Choose the type of investor you are - "Individual investor" or "Business".
- Click on "My dashboard" and "Verify your identity".
2. Verify your account
Follow on-screen instructions to complete verification. To proceed, you will need a device with a camera (you can use a laptop or a mobile phone).
Depending on investor type, there will be a different verification process.
- Individual investor
1. Enter the requested information about yourself (name, surname, date of birth, nationality and more);
2. Complete AML questionnaire, which our local regulator requires;
3. Take photos of your identity document;
4. Take a selfie.
⚠️ You can complete each step on mobile or your computer as you can transfer between devices by clicking a link or scanning a QR code.
You will receive the confirmation email, as well as a result will be reflected on the website. If requested, re-do a particular step.
- Business investor
1. Provide the requested information about the company, including excerpt from a company registry and the shareholder's registry. Both of the documents must be less than 3 months old.
2. Provide information about the UBOs (Ultimate beneficial owners) that hold 25% or more of the company. They will receive emails to go through individual verification process.
3. Provide information about company's representatives and complete identity check.
⚠️ If you are not a representative, you can copy the link and send it to the representative, and they can complete the check themselves whenever they have time.
4. Complete AML questionnaire, which our local regulator requires.
You will receive the confirmation email, as well as a result will be reflected on the website. If requested, re-do a particular step.
⚠️ Both company and representative checks need to be completed for successful business verification.
After verification, there are three simple steps left:
3. Deposit funds using a bank transfer or credit/debit card
- Deposits made through bank transfers may take between 2 to 5 working days to process.
- Alternatively, deposits via credit/debit cards are instant. However, please note that there is a maximum limit of 2,000 EUR per transaction when using this option.
4. Enter the desired number of shares and click 'Buy'
The minimum purchase amount is 1000 shares (minimum €216 for the exclusive round and €240 for the public round).
5. Receive investment confirmation email: Upon completion of your investment process, you will receive a confirmation email from Equito.co.
That's all! You've invested in Blocktrade shares successfully, and therefore, you will receive your tokenized shares within 6-8 weeks after buying shares and you will gain access to the Blocktrade shareholder portal.
